This adapter converts a 5 x 5mm spindle into an 8 x 8mm. These sleeves can be used where the locking mechanism requires an 8mm spindle.
Also useful for converting a 8 x 8mm spindle mounting into a 5mm x 5mm spindle hole on bathroom turns and releases.
