Medium Bean Thumblatch - XL

The Medium Bean Thumblatch is a decorative door latch with a thumb shaped lever. When the thumb shaped lever is pressed down this operates a thumb bar which passes through the door, this lifts the latch. The Medium Bean Thumblatch is also fitted with a keyhole to allow entry by a key.

From the Anvil Medium Bean Thumblatch - XL comes in a range of designs and finishes to suit all requirements. It is supplied as a pair with screw fixings. It is available in different finishes including Beeswax, Black, and Pewter Patina.

• Thumblatches are usually used in conjunction with a tee hinge on traditional plank doors.

The From the Anvil beeswax finish is the most authentic finish for steel.  After forging, the colours left in the steel range from blue to deep red ochre.  To preserve these beautiful colours, their beeswax products are dipped into hot beeswax.  This gives a subtle, matt richness to the metal and offers excellent protection when the products are fitted internally and properly maintained.  An extremely natural finish and a far softer alternative to a black powder coated finish.

The From the Anvil black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings, it has a subtle sheen and offers a bold contrast on both stained and painted timber alike. It is baked in a high-temperature oven giving it durable corrosion resistant properties.
